Kidnapper Cliffs Hawkes Bay Cabernet Franc 2009
EXCLUSIVE TO NZWINEONLINE IN AUSTRALIA. The 2009 Cabernet Franc is almost blue black in appearance. High notes of fine brandy giving way to liquorice and hints of juniper on the nose. The palate exhibits great richness, generosity, and warmth. Focus is achieved through a graphite and mineral like finish.

Kidnapper Cliffs Hawkes Bay Chardonnay 2009
The 2009 is a stunning debut vintage for this wine. The Kidnapper Cliffs Chardonnay shows a nose of vanilla spice, Christmas lilies and grapefruit all under-pinned with subtle oak. The palate is well structured and firm but this does not detract from the rich, sweet fruit. Flavours of lemon honey, and an undercurrent of toasted spice bread combine with a structural minerality.

Martinborough Vineyards Pinot Gris 2010
This is serious pinot gris folks - perhaps the closest to Alsace we have tried from a NZ producer. A rich wine with aromas of ripe pear and spice flavours, with floral notes in the background. Texture is the key element, this wine shows mouth-filling richness and smoothness on the palate that is well balanced by its phenolic weight and ripeness. A small amount of residual sugar (9.5g/L) balances the textural elements of this wine.

Brodie Estate Martinborough Pinot Noir 2009
We love finding boutique little gems like, made with real skill and passion. This is such a great example of Martinborough Pinot Noir. A wonderflul bouquet, both fruity and floral, framed by elegant oak aromas which give a touch of cigar smoke complexity, vanilla and a note of fudge. The palate is almost sweet initially, framed by a great tannin structure and subtle spice on a long finish.
