Ostler 'Audrey's' Waitaki Valley Pinot Gris 2010
Without a doubt, one of the best Pinot Gris we have tasted from NZ. Rich aromas of Pinot Gris sit squarely in the ripe spectrum of stone fruit with some truly wonderful baked pear and golden delicious apple notes lifting the nose. The palate has wonderfully thick texture held in balance by a fine seam of phenolics that give the wine dimension, poise and cut. The acidity is there but not obtrusive, as is a hint of residual sugar. Made with absolute skill and precision.

Amisfield 'Rocky Knoll' Central Otago Pinot Noir 2006
The Rocky Knoll is a small block at Amisfield Vineyard whose soil differs greatly from the areas around it. Planted with 100% Dijon clones, this wine is only made in exceptional vintages and in extremely limited quantities. The wine has great depth of colour and an aroma of dark fruit, spicy oak and savoury complexity from extended lees contact. The palate is reassuringly tight with masses of sweet ripe fruit underlaid by a wealth of well integrated, silky tannins.

Coopers Creek 'Razorback' Central Otago Pinot Noir 2008
Coopers creek venture in to Central Otago with this award-winning pinot. The nose gives high toned floral notes, red cherries, Black Doris plums, hints of tamarillo and a lovely background of subtle oak. The palate is full bodied with firm, yet fine grained tannins and masses of sweet fruit in the mid palate.

Craggy Range 'Calvert' Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009
One of the very best Pinot's we have ever seen produced in New Zealand. Spice, ripe raspberry, plum, dark chocolate and earth characters, with violet floral high notes. The 2008 was awarded 98/100 by Bob Campbell, MW, and 2009 is rated as a better vintage in Central Otago.

Grasshopper Rock Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009
This wine is quickly achieving cult status as one of Central's great pinots. It's appeal lies in it's immediacy - The wine is just so aromatically generous and plush on the palate. The nose gives earth, cherry and florals, darker fruits with a thread of spicy notes. The palate is incredibly lush, rich with a great tannin structure carrying red and black fruits. The finely integrated acids carry a long spicy finish. Multiple Gold Medal winning wine - and a great Central Otago example.

Grasshopper Rock 'Devils Rock' Central Otago Pinot Noir 2008
We are not sure how the Grasshopper Rock team pump out such a good pinot at this price, but we are very glad they have! The Devils Rock Pinot Noir gives a nose of rich cherry and red fruit aromas with touches of spice and vanilla. The palate follows with more cherry and red fruits, great structure and velvety smooth tannins. Soft acids carry a long and rich finish with a hint of spice to round things out.
