New Zealand Chardonnay

New Zealand Chardonnay has a firm reputation as being versatile when it comes to food and wine pairing, which is why it’s one of our most popular selections. Most New Zealand chardonnay is best drunk within 3-5 years of bottling, with few being made to last longer. Always approachable in their youth, NZ Chardonnays will range in flavor and style from crisp fruity wines through to rounded, buttery and mouth-filling examples. NZ Wine Online has scoured all of New Zealand to find some of the best bottles of New Zealand Chardonnay available.

Goldwater Marlborough Chardonnay 2010
Goldwater have done a fantastic job with this chardonnay. Approximately 75% of the wine goes through malolactic in order to soften and enrich the palate. 60% of the wine is then aged in new French oak barriques for eleven months, with the remaining 40% going into stainless steel to retain fruit intensity. The aromas and flavours are packed with peaches, apricots, limes and subtle spice. The palate is rich, vibrant, and refreshing. 4 Stars, WInestate Magazine.
