New Zealand White Wine

We all know that NZ is famous for it’s Sauvignon Blancs, particularly Marlborough – and with good reason. It’s a great drop and we see more and more stunning examples coming on to the market each vintage. There are some other fantastic white wines coming out of NZ that we would also encourage you to try. Chardonnay from Gisborne and Hawkes Bay is back in fashion and you’ll find the ‘over-oaked’ style is no longer prevalent. NZ is also leading the way in white aromatic wines such as Pinot Gris & Gewurztraminer, which are generally made close to the Alsace style and a stunning accompaniment to many Thai and Asian foods.
