Central Otago Wine Tour, 23-27 March 2010
Join us on the first of our wine tours to New Zealand in 2010, as we spend 5 days in what can only be described as one of the most breathtaking wine regions of the world - Central Otago. We're heading deep in to Pinot Noir country to sample some of the very best wines this region has to offer.
The tour is being lead by Jim McMahon, well-known wine personality and rather a nice bloke as well. You can learn more about Jim and his experience here:
The full itinerary is still being finalised, but some of the highlights will include:
- Visits to some of the best Central Otago Vineyards including:
- Kawarau Estate
- Wooing Tree
- Peregrine
- Amisfield
- Mt Difficulty
- and many, many more
- Masterclass with Jim McMahon on NZ Pinot Noir
- Hosted dinner with one of Central Otago's leading winemakers
- Lunch and tour of Northburn Station Vineyards
- Gondola Ride and other sightseeing activities of Queenstown
Along the tour, we'll cover off all four of the Central Otago sub-regions, as well as some time in Queenstown itself to take in the many fantastic activies and nightlife on offer.
We're keeping the tour to under 20 people to ensure this is a unique and personal experience for all. Full details and itinerary will be published soon.
Costs:
The tour has been costed at approximately AUD$2600, inclusive of all flights and 4-star accommodation. The final cost may vary within 10% dependant on exchange rates and any final itinerary changes. A $200pp deposit is required and is fully refundable should the tour not proceed for any reason. NZ Wine Online reserves the right to cancel the tour should the required numbers not be reached.
