NZ Wine Showcase - Sydney 25th February 2012

Come join us for a lazy Saturday's afternoon tasting at the Tilbury Hotel in Woolloomooloo, as we showcase some of the very best wines New Zealand has to offer from both boutique wineries as well as the more well-known brands. We have the entire upstairs floor of the Tilbury (including the outside terrace) booked to ourselves for what will be a very cool afternoon of great wine. Over 70 wines will be on offer for tasting.

We are very excited to be able to host two of New Zealand's most influential winemakers as we take a stroll through Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from the two regions that arguably do it the best - Martinborough & Central Otago. Rudi Bauer (Quartz Reef), NZ Winemaker of the year in 2010, graced us with his entertaining and informative style at our Pinot Noir Masterclass in June, and we are very excited to welcome him back for this tasting. Larry McKenna (Escarpment) is one of New Zealand's most respected figures on Pinot Noir - Gained through over 20 years winemaking experience at Martinbrough Vineyards and now Escarpment, which he establised in 1998. His experience and respect in New Zealand has earnt him the title "Prince of Pinot".

NZ Winemakers' Dinner - Coast Restaurant - Sydney, September 6th, 2011

Join NZWINEONLINE as we taste our way through a fantastic selection of New Zealand wines, expertly matched to a 5 course meal from the stars at Coast Restaurant in Darling Harbour. We will be joined by winemakers from Mount Difficulty, Urlar & Martinborough Vineyards who will guide us through a selection of 10 wines from their wineries and give us some insights in to their vineyards and regions. NZ Winery Showcase - Spy Valley - Sydney (10th August)

Pinot Noir MasterClass with Nick Stock & Rudi Bauer, Sydney, June 8 2011

Join NZWINEONLINE as we taste our way through a fantastic selection of New Zealand Pinot Noirs, exploring the regional and stylistic differences which has solidified the reputation of NZ Red Winemaking globally in the same way Sauvignon Blanc did for white wine. The tasting will be led by Nick Stock, host of the NZWINEONLINE YouTube Channel, and one of Australia's most respected wine journalists. Nick knows NZ pinot noir like few others in Australia, and his straightforward manner in explaining wines makes every tasting accessible for all levels of wine knowledge. We are also honoured to have Rudi Bauer from Central Otago's Quartz Reef on the panel - Rudi is one of the pioneering winemakers of Central Otago, and a respected figure on Pinot Noir. He brings with him an intimate knowledge of both Central Otago Terroir and the Pinot Noir grape. We have selected a range of pinot noirs from Martinborough, Marlborough and Central Otago for this event. As a side-event to the NZ in a Glass tastings, we're holding a very laid-back, cruisy Saturday afternoon NZ wine showcase at the Tilbury Hotel in Sydney. This event forms part of our 'New Zealand Wine Month' celebrations happening across Australia in February. We've selected a dozen or so of the best wineries from NZ in a Glass to show us their wines encompassing a broad range of regions and varieties.

Craggy Range Masterclass, Sydney, February 16th, 2011.

We are very excited to be able to offer a small, intimate (?) evening with Rod Easthope, Craggy Range's chief winemaker. We will hear Rod talk about the Gimblett Gravels and it's wines - what makes them so special and what unique flavour profiles they produce. We will be tasting our way through a selection of Craggy Range's wines, followed by canapes and an informal chat with Rod.
