Staete Landt Marlborough Chardonnay 2009
The Staete Landt Chardonnay achieves the perfect balance - full and round yet stylish, great texture and length, with great acidity and elegant oak integration. A hint of summer stone fruit on the nose, white peaches
& cream, hazelnuts on the palate with a mineral aftertaste that
lingers on. A truly great wine with a strong personality and a European
elegance, showing the unique cool climate Marlborough vibrance.

- "I was highly enthusiastic about this wine when I tasted it recently and subsequently discovered that I have awarded a golf medal to Staete Landt chardonnay in 3 out of last 4 vintages. Rich, weighty and concentrated, with citrus, apricot, toasted nut and sizzled-butter flavours, this is a muth-filling wine with impressive length. A Stylish, complex chardonnay that sits mid-way between the big-and-buttery and Burgundian benchmarks. I rate it as one of New Zelaand's top 10 chardonnay labels", Gourmet Traveller Wine, jan 2012, Bob Campbell MW

- 95 points "A classy wine with richness, warmth and generous flavour
intensity. Strong peach flavours occupy centre-stage but derive good
support from classy oak and some bready yeast lees character." Gourmet Traveller Wine :
