Brightwater Gravels Nelson Pinot Gris 2010
This wine shows great concentration, something lacking in lesser pinot gris. Classic varietal aromas of pears and quince combine with hints of lemon pie in this immensely drinkable Nelson wine.
The palate is lingering and softly textured, with balanced residual sugar and clean acidity. There is a medium finish of warm spice characters adding final interest to the wine.
Drink now through to early 2014.
