Dry River Martinborough Pinot Noir 2008
The 2008 Dry River Pinot Noir shows a nose of
sweet dusty florals, hints of
red berries and dark cherries. The palate is full and round showing
delicacy rather than power with elegant velvety textured tannins. Again,
tasting of delicate red fruits, dark cherries and crushed walnuts. The
wine shows transparency with a mineral thread that spreads over the
entire palate and entwines with the faintest hint of dried herbs. The
finish is long with a slight sappiness giving a sense of freshness to
the lingering flavours.
At it's best from 2013, but will cellar for longer in good conditions.
