Craggy Range 'Old Renwick' Marlbourough Sauvignon Blanc 2010
check out our video review
Very pale colour with tinges of green. Vibrant aromas of lime, herbs, gooseberry and steel. The palate is linear and concentrated with bright herb and lime characters, supported by a slatey wet stone texture and lively natural acidity. The wine finishes long and dry.

As with most Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, this wine can be matched with most seafood and salads, and drunk within 2-3 years of vintage.
91 Points, 4 Stars (2009 vintage) “Fresh, gooseberry-driven flavours of this pure and powerful wine impress me greatly but its rich, mouth feel and ethereal texture are its star features. Bone-dry but with soft (by "soft" I mean not hard, "ethereal" might be a better word) acidity giving the wine spine and structure. A very successful vintage from a star producer of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. This is a seriously good food wine that benefits from decanting for at least 30 minutes - the wine builds spectacularly in the glass.” - Bob Campbell MW, Gourmet Traveller Wine, March 2010.

We tried the 2008 in august 2010, and felt it had died a little in the bottle. the nose was really pungent, but the palate lacked some acidity and the fruit had faded a little. Still nice, but would drink within a year of release.
