Wither Hills 'Rarangi' Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011
check out our video review

This is a Wither Hills single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc well worth searching out. Minerality, sea salt, and lime is the backbone to this wine. Lemongrass, kaffir lime, cardamom, rock melon with subtle herbal aromas present themselves, with the palate dedicated to texture, crunchy ‘intelligent’ acidity and a ripe phenolic spine. Stunning herbal nose mingles with gooseberry, citrus and other ripe fruits. A dry mineral palate full of ripe melon, tropical fruit layers, with intensity and texture is supported by an elegant and refined acidity.

Drink now through to 2014.

Pale lemon, water-like hue - lovely clarity. The nose gave hints of passionfruit, peach and citrus - wow, let's get this into the mouth! What a harmonious and refreshing hit in the mouth with lovely fruits lifting off and persisting long after swallowing. Yum!
