Quartz Reef Central Otago Methode Traditionelle 2007
A blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir - only made in the finest years. The nose is primarily of red, sweet apples with a hint of biscuit. The wonderful, creamy palate displays some more lees-derived characters with citrus notes. The finish is long and pleasant framed by fine acidity.
Drink well chilled as an aperitif. Drinking well on release, will cellar through to 2014.

- 90/100, Bob Campbell MW, Aug 2011, www.bobswinereviews.com"A blend of Chardonnay 80%, and Pinot Noir 20% that has been aged on the
lees for four years. The fine, toasty character of Chardonnay dominates
although the Pinot Noir adds a hint of chocolate box character. Tight,
youthful wine with good bready, nutty autolysis character. Stylish

Remarkably fresh with subtle citrus fruit
flavours and a suggestion of chalky minerality. Light with an ethereal
texture. Stylish wine with purity and drive. 97% Chardonnay, lees for
three years.

A very elegant, tight-knit wine, it is rich,
lemony, yeasty and lively, with a long, crisp, nutty finish.
