Cloudy Bay Pelorus Marlborough Vintage 2007
The 2007 Pelorus Vintage exhibits rich and complex aromas of brioche, nougat and almond biscotti, overlying subtle red apple and citrus fruit. The wine has a deliciously creamy palate structure that is balanced and focussed by a fine acid backbone.

96*****Despite having such prestigious stablemates as Dom Perignon, Krug
and Ruinart, Cloudy Bay is left to chart its own course, according to
it's company spokesman. They manage well without help. This aromatic and
almost perfumed wine has an ethereal texture, fine and persistent
bubbles, taut, toasty flavours and a lingering finish. This is the best
example of Pelorus I've tasted. Champagne it ain't, though it does
possess some of the characteristics that make Champagne taste and feel
great.
