Join NZWINEONLINE as we taste our way through a fantastic selection
of New Zealand Pinot Noirs, exploring the regional and stylistic
differences which has solidified the reputation of NZ Red Winemaking globally in
the same way Sauvignon Blanc did for white wine.
The tasting will be led by Nick Stock, host of
the NZWINEONLINE YouTube Channel, and one of Australia's most respected
wine journalists. Nick knows NZ pinot noir like few others in Australia,
and his straightforward manner in explaining wines makes every tasting
accessible for all levels of wine knowledge. We are also honoured to
have Rudi Bauer from Central Otago's Quartz Reef on the panel - Rudi is
one of the pioneering winemakers of Central Otago, and a respected
figure on Pinot Noir. He brings with him an intimate knowledge of
both Central Otago Terroir and the Pinot Noir grape.
We have selected a
range of pinot noirs from Martinborough, Marlborough and Central Otago
for this event. Expect to see names such as Craggy Range, Martinborough
Vineyards, Amisfield, Wither Hills, Villa Maria, Wooing Tree, Quartz
Reef and more.
Our good friends
at Coast restaurant have also selected a range of canape's to complement
the tasting experience. You may want to make a night of it and book a
table for dinner following the tasting - we will be!
