The success of New Zealand sauvignon blanc has been nothing short
of phenomenal, but are they all just two peas in a pod? Join us for a sit-down tasting that takes NZ sauvignon blanc
to the next level. We'll have some NZ wine makers take us through a broad range of styles and regions,
examining the characteristics and differences that can be found within
New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
There will be three flights of wines on the night to take us through the broad spectrum that Sauvignon Blanc offers:
Flight 1: Marlborough Classics - Here we will
look to examine the different sub-regions of Marlborough and the
differences in flavour profiles that are found throughout the one
region.
Flight 2: Other Regions - We look to other regions
of New Zealand who are also producing outstanding, award-winning
Sauvignon Blancs - Be prepared to be challenged as to just what
Sauvignon Blanc 'should' taste like.
Flight 3: Winemaker Influence - In this flight,
we will examine different winemaker influences that can be applied to
Sauvignon Blanc, including the use of oak and lees.
